Blogging As A Way To Financial Freedom

If you’ve been in touch with the virtual world, you must have heard about the latest trend on the web. It’s called blogging and everyone’s doing it. From celebrities to common people, a blog proves to be the best way to give vent to your feelings, opinion and express your thoughts.

What’s more, you can make money this way too. Basically, a blog, short for ‘weblog’, is a website having a simple interface where the owner can post his views and share them with people across the world.

Most importantly, if you start a blog, be ready to update it regularly or it won’t even be popular, rather than profitable. This can be done on an hourly, daily or weekly basis but the point is to keep your blog ACTIVE.

The content of your blog may be any topic that is of interest to you or to maximum people. You can give information about your own experiences, findings, news, etc. most blogs are free to start and quick to setup. It’s just a matter of minutes!

You may or may not want to make money from blogging but to start one, you must choose an original, interesting topic that will be identified and enjoyed by majority of the people. Otherwise, it will be just part of an already saturated market.

Now, let’s get to the interesting part…how to make money from your blog?

That can be done in several ways.

1. Content based ads can be used to make money from blogs. Join Google AdSense or Kontera. Whenever a visitor clicks on the ads placed in your blog, you will earn some money. It’s best if the content and adverts are matched to one another.

2. You may even join an affiliate program so that every time a user clicks on an affiliate link and buys an item on the affiliate website, you get money.

3. Another idea is to sell text links on your site. This will work well only if you get a good PageRank from Google and lots of traffic.

All the above are great money making tools but your creativity and strategic planning will go a long way in determining your success. The real challenge will be to attract people to visit your blog and click on the ads. Once that’s done, you’ll be on way to financial freedom!
